I have been working for UT Extension since January 2010. Before starting at UT I worked in the food/dairy manufacturing for some big corporations. I am originally from New Mexico growing up in Roswell, and yes if you thinking the ‘one with the green little aliens’ you would be totally spot on! I earned my Bachelors in Human Nutrition and Food Science from New Mexico State University and was also on the college track and field team as as a thrower and on that team we won 2 conference championships. After graduating from NMSU I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do so I decided to move to TN to work on my Masters in Nutrition and Food Science.For leisurely time, which is sparse in my book for me, I love to travel, read books, play golf with my husband, enjoy a TV show or movie, try new restaurants, and just relax.
Officer Duties: Chair of bylaws committee, member of audit and statement of policy committees and performs duties in absence or at request of president.
